Nasque is situated about 15kms north of Auch, the Departmental capital of the Gers. Set in rolling countryside the Gers is famous (among other things!) for Armagnac, foie gras, longevity of life and its famous son D'Artagnan. About 2 hours drive to the west is the Atlantique coast whilst a similar drive to the south east brings you to the Mediteranean. Due south are the Pyrenees with winter ski resorts and summer hiking. The regional centre of Auch has all of ones day to day needs catered for with a range of supermarkets, shops, bakeries and restaurants. The pace of life seems slow compared to other areas with all but the larger supermarkets closing for a leisurely 2 hour lunchbreak. For the more metropolitan shopper the larger centres of Agen and Toulouse are about an hour away.
